Everything You Should Know
Before Your Treatment
Transparency is a cornerstone of our practice. Here you will find honest, medically grounded answers to the questions we hear most often.
Everything You Should Know Before Your Treatment
It depends on the method. After Botox you are immediately ready to go – minor redness fades within 15–30 minutes. For hyaluronic acid fillers or lip augmentation, you should plan for 1–2 days of mild swelling. My tip: do not schedule important events the day after; aim for at least 1–2 weeks later.
Thanks to my background in gynaecology and obstetrics, I work with exceptional sensitivity. We use extremely fine needles and, when needed, high-quality anaesthetic creams. Most patients describe the treatments as a slight feeling of pressure rather than pain.
As a physician, I work almost exclusively to the standards of evidence-based medicine. I only offer therapies whose safety and efficacy are backed by solid studies. Methods with an unclear evidence base have no place in my practice – your health comes before any trend.
In the first consultation, we take time for your concerns and wishes. We discuss your facial anatomy, your goals, and what can realistically be achieved. Only then do we agree on a treatment plan together – with no pressure and no obligation.

That is exactly what we avoid at ESPÉRA. My credo is: "The best aesthetic is the one you cannot see." I work according to the principle of natural harmony and beauty. If I feel that a treatment would lead to an unnatural result, I will advise you honestly and consciously say "no".
I recommend waiting at least 24 hours. Due to the pressure differences in the cabin, the substance could theoretically migrate to unintended muscle groups before it has settled into its target structures. Safety and precision come before speed.
The effect typically sets in after 4–10 days. The final result is fully visible after approximately two weeks – which is exactly when your included follow-up appointment takes place, where we assess the outcome together and make any refinements if needed.
Typically 4–6 months, depending on metabolism, dosage and the area treated. With regular treatments, the duration can increase as the muscles gradually adapt over time.

As a general rule: give your body 24 to 48 hours of rest. Heat and intense physical activity increase circulation, which can accelerate the breakdown of fresh actives or cause bruising. Allow the substances time to settle into their target structures in the tissue.
A major advantage of hyaluronic acid is its reversibility. With the enzyme hyaluronidase, we can safely and precisely dissolve filler deposits. However, through our thorough pre-treatment consultation, we make sure it never comes to that.
Between 6 and 18 months, depending on the product, treatment area and individual metabolism. In areas with more movement (e.g. lips), longevity is generally shorter than in more static areas such as cheekbones or the jawline.
